This notice explains what information Iota Hive (operated by iota Partners, “we”) collects through iotahive.com, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can, keep it only as long as we need it, and never sell it.
What we collect
- Things you send us. When you use our audit form we receive your name, work email, phone number, company, website, the service you’re interested in, your budget range, your message, and the page and campaign tags (UTM parameters) you arrived from. If you email us, we receive whatever you include.
- Your preferences. We store two small entries in your browser’s local storage: whether you allowed analytics, and whether you chose the light or dark theme. Neither contains personal information.
- Analytics, only if you opt in. If you choose “Accept analytics” we load Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. It sets cookies and receives your IP address (which it truncates). If you choose “Essential only”, it never loads.
We serve our fonts and scripts from our own server, so simply visiting the site does not send your data to third parties.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, prepare a proposal (our legitimate interest in responding, or steps before a contract).
- To improve the website, only with your consent for analytics.
Where it goes
Form submissions are stored in a private Google Sheet operated through Google Workspace, accessible only to our team. Analytics data, if you opt in, is processed by Google. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t become projects are deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept for as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, Canadian PIPEDA and US state privacy laws), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, object to its use, or withdraw consent. Email hello@iotahive.com and a person will handle your request. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
